Creating a Custom Illustrated Lookbook for a Bridal Boutique

My passion has always been turning life stories, milestones and beautiful moments into something physical that you can hold in your hands.
While I absolutely love creating personal memory books, I also get incredibly excited when a local business asks me to help bring their story and personality to life.
The Vision: A Lookbook with Heart
Recently, the lovely owner of a bridal boutique asked me to create a completely bespoke, illustrated lookbook showcasing her beautiful wedding dresses and accessories.
Rather than a standard corporate catalogue, she wanted something that felt elegant, romantic and personal — something that reflected the feel of her boutique and showcased her gorgeous gowns in a really special way.
I loved the idea!
For me, this wasn't simply about putting photographs onto pages. It was about creating something that would feel like a beautiful extension of her bridal studio.
Bringing the Pages to Life
For this project, it was all about creating clean, elegant layouts while allowing the beautiful gown illustrations to take centre stage.
We also included examples of real brides, along with some lovely thank-you messages from brides who had already found their perfect dress.
These personal touches helped turn the lookbook into something much more than a catalogue. It became a little glimpse into the experience of choosing a wedding dress and the memories created along the way.
Before carefully boxing the finished book up and sending it off, I couldn't resist taking a few photographs of some of the pages to share with you.

And Then Came the Reaction...
It was such an honour to create something special for such a lovely lady — but I have to admit, I wasn't quite prepared for her reaction!
Her lovely review genuinely reduced me to tears.

Carol also mentioned the tight timescale involved and how much time and effort I had put into creating the finished book, which meant a great deal to me.
And perhaps my favourite part of her review was this:

That really meant the world to me.
