Create and Reminisce in a Personal Life Story Book for Your Loved One
I work with families who may have a relative moving into residential care and are worried about them settling into their 'new home'.
I help them achieve a way of easing that feeling of loneliness and separation by creating a Memory Story Book. Gathered and collated lifetime memories, photos and information from family and friends help to create an amazing keepsake for their loved one to take in with them, reassuring them that they are loved and never forgotten!
Every book is handmade and tells their story - making it truly one-of-a-kind!
From the moment they were born we can collate everything from what they did as a child, school, friends, holidays, past times, achievements ... tellina a story of
'This is Your Life' through careers, marriage, children and grandchildren

So, from birth until the present day using personal photos and information to produce a unique memorable story of their life. I can write you a suggestion/idea list of all the milestones and events we experience through life, such as:

I create these books in a 'This is your life' format beginning with your loved one's parents
... after all, that is where their journey really began !
Perhaps your loved one lives a long way away from relatives or may need to move into residential care.
These special keepsakes can help with that transition, again reminding them they are always in your thoughts.
There are also so many other ways to help people in this situation struggling to remember as their memory starts to dim. Whether it be from a degenerative disease like Dementia and Alzheimers, or simply just the ageing process ... we all love to remember our lives and find joy in sharing with our families and friends.

that can bring great joy to share !
I am so passionate about preserving the ability to hold onto our memories. I have MS which has affected my own memory from both past and present so I appreciate just much how it can impact on a person’s mood when they are unable to recall and share those precious memories with family and friends!
I engage withwith family members, gather information, photos and memorabilia and, by putting everything together in a ‘This is your life’ format from birth to the present, it collates all those memories to not only keep, but to share with other residents and staff, family and friends, enabling them
to reminisce about the ‘good old days’ and share their life experiences.
To be able to recall those early days at school, their wedding and special family events
… this book just brings it all together, making a wonderful life story book for the elderly, grand parents and eanyone suffering memory problems.
I would love to be able to help in any way I can as I love to make something special and personalized for people to be able to reconnect with their past.
